The NBC NBs

Here we go. The Night Blooming Cereus night blooms once again! It reminds me of women giving birth in the back of a taxicab.

Ah, the guts are becoming visible.

It’s like the undersea world of Jacques Cousteau in there. Or another planet. Or a concert with the diva star out front.

Can’t photograph the smell.

Nitey nite!
Thanks for the show, NBC, after your harrowing 80-mile ride.
You’re a tuffie. We LERV you.

There are a few of you valued diehards! Funny story: a friend said that when her grandmother died, they found her photo album of pictures of her NBC every year, annotated “1977” and such. They all looked the same–to everyone except her grandmother, no doubt.

Like her caregiver, Luna is a warrior! THANK YOU for the stunning photographs! I might have to track down this rare plant so I can experience the fragrance. You inspire!
